FAWWA has a residency flat located in Mattie Furphy House, set among the beautiful bushland of Allen Park. Located central to the Western Suburbs of Perth, Mattie Furphy House has parkland and the ocean within walking distance, lending a lovely ambience to the writing space. There are cafes, shops and public transport close by, with residents able to join FAWWA activities.
Residency programs are advertised from time to time, and may be paid or unpaid, dependent on funding. Programs will be advertised on the website when they become available.
In addition, writers can apply to spend residency time in the flat, depending on availability at the time. Member rates apply, which can be negotiated, depending on circumstances.
