Tuesdays at Mattie's with Kamille Roach
Join acclaimed author Kamille Roach for fortnightly Tuesdays at Mattie’s.
The aim is to provide a positive and encouraging environment in which to practise writing skills.
Write in response to a prompt and read your work aloud afterwards if you wish. Classes start March 14.
Kamille is the author of rural crime novels, A Matchbox Full of Pearls, and The Sound of Falling.
Her short stories have been recognised by FAWWA, Joe O’Sullivan Writer’s Prize, The Ethel Bundell Literary Awards, Darker Times UK, and published in the Out of the Asylum Writers Anthology.

She has also won the 2013 BJ Patterson Short Story Award. For details and bookings please click here.
Book Length Project Group
The Book Length Project Group is convened by Carol Mills and meets the third Sunday of each month at Mattie Furphy House, 10am to 12pm. Open to writers of all genres and levels of experience, working on book-length fiction or non-fiction. For details and bookings please click here.


Andrew Levett, aka The Story Mentor, leads the Manuscript Development Writing Group, which meets the first and third Saturday of each month at Mattie Furphy House, Swanbourne, 10am to 12pm from January 21, 2023. Indian Ocean Write Night
The group meets every second Tuesday evening at Mattie Furphy House. For writers of all genres in need of a little inspiration and the chance to write in a relaxed and supportive environment with others. The group meets fortnightly at Mattie Furphy House, 6pm to 8pm.
