The Tom Collins Poetry Prize 2024

One of Australia's longest running and prestigious national poetry prize is now open! Entries accepted between January 8 through to midnight March 31 (AWST)

The Tom Collins Poetry Prize was inaugurated by the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA in 1975 to honour the contribution to Australian literature of Joseph Furphy (1843 – 1912), who wrote Such is Life under the nom de plume "Tom Collins".

First prize is $1,000, second is $300, and third is $100. Entry cost is $12 per poem or $10 per poem for members. Up to five poems per entrant can be submitted.

The theme is open. A poem must be no longer than 60 lines.

Submissions close at midnight (West Australian Time) March 31, 2024.
